世嘉公布了他们的下一个迷你主机——Mega Drive Mini 2，基于Mega Drive 2而来，将收录50款Mega Drive和Mega CD游戏，这其中有街机移植作品，也有“神秘新作”。Mega Drive Mini 2将于10月27日在日本推出，售价9980日元，世嘉暂未宣布是否会在欧美地区发售。
